The ‘eco2jet’ research project tested Liebherr’s CO2 air conditioning system for three years onboard a long-distance rail vehicle.
除零部件供应商外，汽车制造商 Dongfeng 和 CCAG 也在开发天然制冷剂 MAC 技术。其方向涉及 CO2 和 R290。
ZF发现，采用R290的TherMaS系统可将电动汽车续航里程提升最高30%。该系统通过优化热管理和更好利用车辆传动系统余热，提高电动汽车效率。
UBA 发现，在实际工况下，一台 R290 空调机组性能强劲、能效高。其表现与 R134a 替代方案相当。
2024年底，福特向美国环保署提交申请，拟将丙烷（R290）列为汽车热管理系统的可接受制冷剂，以推动低全球变暖潜能值方案在电动汽车热泵中的应用。
